Assessment Roll

The property assessment roll is the inventory of all the buildings situated on the territory of the municipality, evaluated on the same base and on the same date.

This is the basis from which is calculated the property and school taxes.

The assessment roll is valid for 3 years. Some municipalities choose an evaluation every 6 years. This was the case at Lac-des-Seize-Îles.  After this time, a new assessment is done.

Certain data from the assessment roll is public and can be perused here. For example:

  • Adress
  • Cadastre
  • Noame of owner
  • Postal address
  • Characteristics of the land: surface area, dimensions
  • Characteristics of the building: stories, year of construction…
  • Value at time of assessment roll: land, building
  • etc.

Other confidential data is reserved to real estate professionals (approved evaluators, financial institutions, notaries, etc.).

The MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut has the responsibility of the confection and updating of the property evaluation municipal rolls.

Important note from the MRC:

The cartographic information remains the property of the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut and of its ten (10) constituting municipalities.

They may only be used for consultation. This data may in no case be used for the conception of a project.

The MRC holds no responsibility regarding the reliability, the exactitude and the updating of the cadastral data.

Please note that in certain sectors, the quality of the data’s reliability for the non-renovated sectors will be improved through the cadastral renovation
